
Cook Real Estate Agency has been as large as having 5 Real Estate Agents, 3 Maintenance men, and 2 Secretaries.
Since the beginning of the company's existence, Carroll Cook has built a business of Real Estate Rentals and Investments. Mr. Cook has built nearly 100 homes and has had an interest in the developing of several streets in the Thomasville area.
Our belief is to help those individuals that can not qualify or get financing anywhere else for Housing. We have helped hundreds of people find a suitable home at a reasonable price. Also, we have helped many families with buying their first home.
In the early seventies, Mrs. Cook started increasing the number of Real Estate Agents working for Cook Real Estate Agency. Most of these agents that have worked for Cook Real Estate in the seventies have moved on to other agencies and some have become the broker of their own Real Estate business.
In February, 1993, Mr. Carroll E. Cook sold Cook Real Estate Agency to his son, Mr. Richard W. Cook. Cook Investments was created in 1993.
Richard W. Cook plans to continue his father's belief in helping families to get into their first home with small down payments and house payments as low or as reasonable as what you are presently paying for rent. Also, if your family rents from Cook Real Estate Agency and you like the home you are presently renting, there is a good possibility you could buy that home with a small down payment.
The goals that Richard Cook would like to achieve is to increase the Real Estate rentals, since there is such a high demand for rental homes. These rentals will range from the low income housing to the high income rentals. "Since there is so much of an increase of families moving here because of jobs or college, I believe there should be housing for these people in order to increase the job market and attendance in Thomas University in Thomasville," said Richard Cook.
Also, Richard would like to increase home listings in his organization. We are just a one horse operation basically. There are advantages to listing your home For Sale with a small company compared to a large company. With a small company, the advantage is that the broker is able to put more emphasis on the Sale of your home or commercial property. The smaller company normally doesn't have as many listings as a larger company.
